Terms
Terms, refunds & cancellations
Plain-language terms for courses, trial lessons and individual coaching.
Your agreement with us
These terms apply when you enrol with Maple Bridge Education Inc.. We confirm every enrolment in writing (email) with the course, dates, price, HST and total. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable law.
Fees and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude HST (13% in Ontario), shown separately on your receipt.
- The course fee is due before the first class.
- Course materials are included.
Refunds and cancellations by you
- More than 14 days before the start date: 100% refund.
- 7–13 days before the start date: 75% refund.
- Less than 7 days before the start date: 50% refund.
- After the course has started: a pro-rated refund based on the services delivered and the terms of your enrolment contract.
- Individual coaching: sessions can be rescheduled free of charge with 24 hours' notice; unused prepaid sessions are refunded.
Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 15 business days.
Courses cancelled or changed by us
If we cancel a course (for example because too few people enrol), you choose a full refund or a transfer to another course or start date. If we must change the teacher, room or format, we tell you as early as possible; if a change to the format or schedule doesn't suit you, you may cancel for a pro-rated refund.
Trial lessons
Trial lessons are offered to help you choose a level and course. Booking a trial lesson does not commit you to enrol.
Classes and conduct
We expect respect for teachers and classmates. We may remove a learner for harassment or discrimination after a warning, with a pro-rated refund.
Certificates
We issue certificates of completion. They are not official language test results and cannot be used as proof of language ability for immigration purposes.
Complaints
Contact [email protected] or +1 416-323-1770. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 10. You may also contact Consumer Protection Ontario.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
